Lemons on new Gingerville pavement this year.

So it looks like we will be racing on the new section for Gingerville Raceway.  Adds a whole 10 secs to the track.

From RacingGrandpa:

New T10 has the following effects: lengthens the course by ~10sec; increases T10-11 straight speed ~20MPH; adds three new points to go off-course downhill; blind entry to T10-11 straight.

The track is raised from the surrounding land in the T10 expansion, so if you go off, you’re going downhill. The grass hasn’t grown in yet, so it’s graded dirt at this time. The whole area is lower than the straight, so you now come onto the straight uphill, blind.

The organizers will of course survey the situation and make the “old-track” vs “new-track” decision while on-site, but after trying the new section, I’m sure it will be not be a quick decision.

Sucker Punch’s Tranny and Ride Around Gingerville

This is Team Suckerpunch that we met at Nelson in 2009, they are rolling a Camaro too.  They did pretty well and finished the race.  At Gingerville they blew the tranny twice.  So let’s make sure keep the tranny cool.  Also they take you on a nice ride around the Gingerville Raceway track in a Camaro.  I would watch this video a few times so you can get familiar with the course….
