One more reason to put together a decent cage.

Found this on thirdgen.org, one more reason we need to get our cage right. This Camaro while a drag car, held up pretty good. I so would have crapped my pants if I were holding this camera though.

Welcome back to 1985 with 4.3 mile IROC

Darn and we missed it.  Take a time warp back to 1985 when our LeMons ride was new by checking out this post.  This Camaro has 4.3 miles.  Looking under the hood you’ll find a mystery.  Its equipped with a non TPI 305 which is strange and that probably makes it more rare than the one I have.  Knowing what I know about Camaros she would probably start right up with a change of the fuel pump.

Something feels wrong about this IROC though.  The options and paint don’t add up, and all I can figure is that someone weird enough to order this car up must be strange because they never drove it.

Check it out

Note to self, don’t be this guy…

The guys yell prior to impact explains it all…We’re big boy racing boys bring your A game. Did you hear that? That’s the sound of some of the timid on our team dropping a brick out of their pants. Bet this will motivate us to get the roll cage in!

Ride around Nelson Ledge in a IROC, why yes our LeMons Ride is a IROC…

Doesn’t getting better than this. We are raising a IROC-Z and this guy video taped a run around Nelson Ledge in a 86 Chevy Camaro Iroc-Z.  He babied it all the way around but it gives you an idea of how its going to feel as well as track conditions. Of course track conditions on Oct 3rd is going to be a little different with a bunch of other crap cans in the race but this should be interesting none the less.

Pictures of the REAL Bumble Bee for Reference

Well since it’s got to look like a crapcan 1976 Camaro I think we can make our 1985 look the part.

Check list…
Round headlights
Yellow paint
Transformer logos
Megan Fox…er Blow up doll that looks like her if we can’t get the real deal
